Apple were looking to unite everything they do for small businesses under a new, recognisable brand that would bring together Today at Apple business sessions globally and free business team support.
Working closely with the stategy team, I developed the naming approach for the evergreen inititaive, then worked with the in-house design team to hone the identity and writing system across all touchpoints, including writing guidance to support the rollout worldwide.
The name, Made for Business, was created to work in various ways. As an immediately recognisable tag to identify events on socials and in-store as clearly being for business. As a series name for curated collections of business events that take place in different geos across the globe each year. And as a container for all current and new types of support offered to small businesses, including dedicated Apple Business Team assistance and private group sessions.
More broadly, the name also speaks to the brand’s products and design ethos at large, providing a platform for growth that is clearly understood, immediately recognisable, entirely flexible and wide-open.
