02 APPLE CREATIVE STUDIOS
CLIENT: Apple
YEAR: 2019-22
YEAR: 2019-22
Apple Creative Studios brings world-class mentorship programmes to young creators in underserved communities across the planet, featuring leading artists in everything from music to film and podcasting.
Starting life as Made for LDN in 2019, I was tasked with defining the voice of the programme (a recalibration of the familiar Apple style for an audience who felt that Apple was not for them) followed by the structure and naming of its parts. From there, we then built out a new system of assets to engage, inform and serve the needs of the programme from kick-off to celebration.
After two successful years, Made for LDN became Apple Creative Studios in 2021: and went global. Alongside a fresh look and feel, I evolved the writing system to function at scale, keeping the local approach within a new architecture that would be able to unite, and adapt to, programmes of all types.
To support the rollout into each new geo, I also created an end-to-end writing guidance package and worked with teams locally to direct the creative focus, and narrative, that would guide each new iteration.
